Advising a group of teens is challenging. But you don't need to go it alone! Join this group and ask your fellow Adult Advisors questions, get support, and share your experiences and expertise with others.

You might also consider starting a separate group for your project team. It can help you communicate with one another; share information, photos, and videos about your project; vote on team related issues; and a whole lot more!

Comment by Nicole Greevy on November 9, 2009 at 11:47am: Hey, Advisors- just FYI, I go through the new members every day or every other day to weed out the fake profiles (selling acai berries, mortgages, etc). Most of them are harmless, but once in awhile I find a really inappropriate one (found one today). If you happen to see one that I don't ban within two or three days, please let me know? I'm doing the best I can, but I'm sure here and there some will slip through the cracks and I want this to stay a safe and comfortable site for the teens to be teens.

And, of course, if I accidentally ban one of your kids, let me know that, too! Thanks!

If you are, it would be really beneficial to suggest that community youth have a voice on the committees, boards, etc. There are, I'm sure, many teens who would love to have a say on environmental issues in their community. They can bring fresh ideas and energy.

Comment by Barbara Murphy on March 23, 2009 at 8:30pm: I would like to see more unity among the local groups instead of everyone doing something different. Our new mayor is forming a committee for environmental affairs and having various groups participate as a board.

Comment by Marilyn Brennan on March 23, 2009 at 3:53pm: I considered planning another trip with TREE youth, however with the economic situation of our program, the zoo, and the rest of the country, it just wasn't justifiable. Hoping that this venue will really inspire communication among the TPE teams and advisors as well.
